Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon

Onion (1) finely chopped
Channa dal (Kadale bele) 1 tea spoon
Garlic pods (4) finely chopped
Green Chillies 3 slit into half
Curry leaves 10 leaves
Soaked Bamboo shoots - 400 gms, cut into pieces
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder
Grated Coconut 2 tablespoon
Oil 1 tablespoon


Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, kadale bele, curry leaves, fry onion, garlic, and green chillies. Fry in medium heat for 3-4 mins and then add chopped bamboo shoots. Add salt, turmeric and grated coconut. Cook for another 7-8 mins and garnish with coriander leaves.

Eat with chapatis or as a side dish with Rice.
