Ingredients

Set 1


Toor dal – 1 cup
Tomato
Basale soppu – 300 – 500 gms
Turmeric
Onion sliced (½)
Salt to taste

Set 2 for Masala

Jeera – 1 teaspoon
Daniya – 1 and ½ teaspoon
Red chilli powder
coconut – 2 tablespoon
Onion – ½
Garlic pods – 4


for tadka / Ogganane – Oil, Mustard seeds and curry leaves

Method

Pressure cook the “Set 1” ingredients. Grind the “Set 2” for masala and add the masala to the dal and soppu mixture. Mix well and bring to the boil. Add salt for taste. Season with giving tadka/oggarane. Eat with rice or Kadabu.
